We’re off to see gardens in B.C., with stops along the way in Calgary, Banff and on board the Rocky Mountaineer. An intrepid group of 22 (including me and my ever-lovely wife, Jane) will spend the next 10 days in Alberta and British Columbia, visiting some gardens of note and taking the famous fancy train through the Rockies.
Jane and I honeymooned in Banff. (The Banff Springs was looking a little shabby around the edges when we were there in 1979, and they gave us twin beds in a room with a view of a roof. I did manage to get a somewhat better room.) We’re looking forward to going back, albeit to a different hotel and starting a tour that will take us to some very nice gardens in Vancouver and Victoria.
I’ll be posting each evening, with photo(s). Hope you’ll stay with us as we journey west.
